Since 2012 Smart Grid Consultancy (SGC) have been working with Western Power Distribution (WPD) in the design, build and operation of the UK most commercially advanced Demand Side Response (DSR) trial.  The trials were carried out by SGC on behalf of WPD over the past three years to determine how DSR can be used by DNOs in a 'real world' environment to improve the efficiency and reliability of 1kv networks.

The much anticipated report details each stage of the trials processes and presents the learning and conclusions that were derived from the work carried out.  In addition it provides context in relation to the broader market for current and proposed DSR services which require to be taken into account when seeking to determine how DNO operated programmes are likely to be introduced as ‘Business as Usual.
